Bob is a 15.2hh cob skewbald gelding born in 2004. He arrived in February 2016. His favourite things are to go hacking around the grounds of the estate or out into the woods and to eat food! He’s not always happy to see people but secretly loves a cuddle -  just don’t tell anyone!  

Joe is a 13.1hh piebald cob gelding. He was born in 2008 and joined us in March 2014. Originally a traveller's pony it took Joe a little while to settle into the slower pace of life at RDA but he has turned into one of the best RDA ponies we have had. He loves looking after our smaller riders and giving them a kiss when they have finished riding. Joe's other favourite things are sleeping flat out in the sunshine and being cheeky when he goes out for his able-bodied hacks! He looks cute but likes to keep us on our toes, however we love him for it! 

Pluto is a 14.1hh piebald gelding born in 2005. He joined us in November 2019 after working in a riding school. He has quickly become a firm favourite and loves teaching his riders to go off the lead rein and have a canter.  Don’t be fooled by his loving face though he is super cheeky and loves to check the more able riders' steering when off the lead rein! He absolutely loves a sleep in the sunshine and can quite often be found flat out in the field when the sun comes out in spring.

Sweet Pea is a 13.1hh chestnut roan mare. She was born in 2005 and joined us in October 2019 from Culinghood Equestrian Centre. She is fabulous with all her riders and loves looking after them, especially the smaller ones. She can be very opinionated about what she wants to do and can often be found refusing to get up from her sleep in the stable or refusing to move from a sunny spot in the school! 

Darcy is a 14.3hh black cob mare born in 2012. She arrived in November 2021 and after a rocky start has become everyone's favourite to ride. She badly hurt a ligament in her leg 6 months after arriving but surgery in January 2022 and a slow rehab have helped her to make a full recovery. Her favourite thing is to sleep in the sunshine and go for a gentle hack on the woods after her RDA work.  

Wynne is a 14hh skewbald cob mare born in 2004. She joined us in October 2024 after deciding retirement wasn’t for her any more. She absolutely loves being back in work and being pampered by all the volunteers. Her favourite thing in the world to do is eat and she definitely doesn’t let anyone steal her food!

Poppy is a 14.2hh black cob mare born in 2015. She arrived in February 2024 and settled in beautifully. She did fabulously well at regionals in May 2024 with her riders qualifying for the national championships. Unfortunately, it was discovered she had broken a bone in her foot a month later and after lots of rest she is slowly returning back to work. She absolutely loves to eat and will eat anything in sight and she loves her best friend Pea.

Ebony is a 14.1hh black cob mare who joined us in February 2025. She is a younger girl born in 2018 and so will take time to get used to our ways. She is very friendly and loves standing in her field watching what is happening in the school. We can’t wait to see how she develops. 

Archie is a 14hh Welsh, section C, bay gelding who was born in 2007. He joined us in February 2025 as our new driving pony. He has done some competitive work and enjoyed his RDA work in his previous home so we are looking forward to getting to know him and to start driving again!
